Cheap Flights to Myrtle Beach with Spirit Airlines
Myrtle Beach is a favorite destination for many families and groups from as far north as Canada, to the East coast of the US and throughout the Midwest. Many families take the long trek in their cars, traveling sometimes well over 10 hours, to reach the sunny and entertaining shores of Myrtle Beach because its typically hard to find cheap flights. If you are an avid vacationer in Myrtle Beach, like me, you know that it’s not always an easy drive to get there. Whether its screaming babies in the car, the long hours trying to find a radio station that will work for more than 5o miles, or in my case the constant stops to stretch my legs, there are many reasons to wish there was an easier, faster, affordable way to get to Myrtle Beach.
From most cities there aren’t direct flights into Myrtle Beach, and more importantly there aren’t many affordable flights to Myrtle Beach. Let’s be honest, it’s not a small feat to take a family of 5 on vacation without completely breaking the bank. I am from Cleveland, and for me it is a 12 hour drive to Myrtle Beach. I have made the trip many times, but last year I thought, what the heck, let me search to see if I could find an direct, cheap flights into Myrtle Beach. Honestly, I was blown away with what I found.
Spirit airlines is a no frills airline that essentially gets passengers from Point A to Point B without providing much more than a ticket and a promise to get you to your destination. There are no assigned seats ( you can pay extra to have them), and you can take one small bag with you on the plane ( carry-on/checked bags cost extra), but the prices are fantastic!
I traveled in June last year and paid $70 round trip. I pay that in gas when I drive. And the flight was direct, so I saved 11 hours of travel time for essentially the price of gas! I highly encourage you to check-out Spirit.com, and I have posted many of the cities below that represent frequent Myrtle Beach travelers. Maybe your next trip may take 1-2 hours instead of 12 crazy hours in the car with a cheap flight on Spirit Airlines.
