Meet The Team
George A. Jacynycz
George founded Prista Vacation Rentals in 2009 after privately representing his family’s Myrtle Beach vacation home. After sharing his family’s vacation home with friends and guests alike, he realized that others enjoyed vacationing privately – an experience unavailable from a traditional hotel. Other owners agreed, and 20 owners later (and counting) he is committed to providing guests with the same one-of-a-kind private stay experience. George, an Ohio native, golfer, and beachgoer began traveling to Myrtle Beach in 2006 after a family friend invited him and his friends to stay at their oceanfront vacation home at the Margate Tower in Kingston Plantation. About one year later, he and his family purchased their first vacation rental at the Island Vista Resort later named Getsy’s Getaway. Located in South Carolina, George works closely with Prista property owners to ensure that every rental provides guests and exceptional vacation rental experience.
Marketing and Sales
Kaan joined the Prista team while it was still at its infancy in 2011. An entrepreneur at heart, he recognized George’s unique vision for a private vacation experience in Myrtle Beach and jumped at the opportunity to help him create a special, private experience for guests. Kaan and his family have owned time shares in the Myrtle Beach area for many years, and it is his love of the beach and the unique experience that private vacationing provides guests that drives him to help connect Prista with guests looking for more than just a typical hotel experience in Myrtle Beach. Kaan has dual Masters degrees in Business and Marketing and is currently hopping back and forth between his home state of Ohio and his favorite vacation spot on the East coast in Myrtle Beach.
Sharon is the newest member or the Prista Team and has called South Carolina home for nearly 20 years, raising her family in Columbia before moving to Charleston in 2014. Sharon grew up around her family’s retail shoe store which provided a strong foundation in the value of customer service. She has had a successful career in sales as well as in education; both have taught her that a single approach is rarely the solution for everyone. Taking on the Guest Relations/Marketing role with Prista, Sharon’s goal is to take the stress and worry out of vacation planning. It’s an opportunity to blend her love of travel and the beach with her ability to relate with others and provide the very best possible guest experience. She will be interacting daily with guests from initial inquiry, throughout their stay and after departure. Sharon has a B.A. in Business/Marketing and also spent over 20 years as an educator and Sign Language Interpreter in several states. When she’s not working, tutoring or spending time with her grown sons you will likely find her at the pool or on the beach.
Tina recently joined our team in somewhat of a unique way. She was first introduced to Prista several years ago, while searching for the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach. One phone call led to another and she was eventually introduced to George. Thanks to his wonderful recommendation, she booked her first vacation at Margate Tower and the rest is history. Being born and raised in Ohio, she has thoroughly enjoyed her trips to Myrtle Beach. Having vacationed here for many years she has completely grown to love the area and what it has to offer. It’s because of her experience with Prista that she had the desire to join our team if an opportunity ever presented itself and that’s exactly what happened. She’s gone from being a satisfied guest to helping guests. With a lot of passion and enthusiasm she looks forward to helping others experience the wonderful beach vacations she’s enjoyed over the years.
